NEWSI've never been to AWP before, but I went this year, to the convention in Boston. A lot to take in.
My story "Make the Soup" has made the longlist for the CBC Literary Awards. My story "He Hasn't Been to the Bank in Weeks" was recently published in The South Dakota Review The Ditch Was Lit Like This has been shortlisted for the ReLit Award! I'm reading Thursday, March 8th in Vancouver with Griffin Prize winner Anne Simpson. My latest novel, Listen All You Bullets, will be published by Gaspereau Press in 2013. Wednesday, Oct. 19th with Melanie Murray and Francie Greenslade at Infusions on Okanagan College's Kelowna campus. 7 pm. The Ditch Was Lit Like This is in stores. I wrote a poem for CBC Daybreak South's A Verse to Summer program. Read "We Used to Be Frontiersmen."
